Where I practice

Online trauma and somatic therapy for Orange County and all of California

I see clients in person at my office in Anaheim Hills, and online across California. Online, the commute disappears, the hour stays an hour, and you can have the session from wherever you already feel comfortable.

Online also means the map is wider than the office. I see clients across Orange County and anywhere else in California, as long as you're physically in the state at the time of the session.

Why telehealth works for this kind of work

A 50-minute session that costs you 20 minutes of driving on each end is really an hour and a half, and that's the difference between therapy being sustainable and therapy being the thing you cancel first when the week gets hard.

There's also something the office doesn't offer. Somatic work asks you to notice what your body is doing and to let it settle, which is easier in a room you already trust. You can get comfortable in whatever way works for your body, keep something warm nearby, and move if you need to.

What you need

Four things, and most people already have all of them.

  • A private space. Somewhere you won't be overheard or interrupted for 50 minutes. A parked car counts. Plenty of people use one.

  • A reasonable connection. An internet connection and a phone, tablet or laptop.

  • To be in California. You need to be physically located in California during the session. California licensure is what makes the session legal, and it follows your location, not mine.

  • Headphones, if home is tight. They help when privacy at home is hard to come by.

How sessions run

Sessions are 50 minutes on a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform through my client portal. You'll get a link – no account to create, no software to install. Scheduling, intake paperwork and payment all live in the same portal.

Daytime and evening appointments are offered, and open times are shown when you book. If none of them work, ask on the consultation call. There is sometimes room outside the posted times, and it is worth asking rather than assuming there isn't.

What I work on

Trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship concerns, parenting transitions, and recovery – with adults, couples, and families. My approach blends somatic work, Internal Family Systems and attachment-based approaches.

Common questions

Do you see clients in person in Orange County?

Yes. My office is in Anaheim Hills, at 6200 E. Canyon Rim Road, Suite 215F. It's wheelchair accessible, with an elevator. You can also meet with me online from anywhere in California.

I live outside Orange County. Can you still see me?

Yes, anywhere in California. Telehealth follows state licensure, so the whole state is open.

What if I travel out of state?

I can only provide therapy while you're physically located in California. If you're travelling, we reschedule rather than meeting from another state.

Is telehealth as effective as in-person therapy?

For most of what I treat, the research finds it comparable. What matters far more is the fit between you and the therapist – which is exactly what the free consultation is for.

Not sure which fits?

Most people don't arrive with a clean label, and the thing you came in for is often not the whole story. You don't need to decide now. The other places people start:

Ready when you are

Take the first step, at your pace.

A free 15-minute consultation is the easiest way to see if we're a fit. No pressure, no commitment – just a conversation.

I don't answer calls live. You'll reach a private voicemail, and I text or call back, usually the same day.
