How I work
Therapy rooted in empathy, understanding, and genuine connection
I work with individuals navigating challenges related to emotional expression, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, parenting transitions, and recovery. I support couples and families, particularly parents and adult children, to strengthen communication, navigate conflict, and build more meaningful and connected relationships.
I am LGBTQ+ affirming and committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive space where clients can explore their identities and experiences without fear of judgment.
I also recognize that our family backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences shape how we view ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us, and I strive to understand these important parts of each client's story.
My approach
I believe therapy is a process of understanding, healing, and growth. Many clients come to therapy after carrying emotional pain, difficult experiences, or unhelpful patterns for years. It takes time to understand your story, explore how it has shaped you, and create meaningful change. While it's natural to want relief as quickly as possible, healing often requires more than simply addressing the symptoms.
Instead, we work together to understand what is beneath the surface, make sense of your experiences, and develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself. My goal is to provide a space where you can move at your own pace while building insight, healing, and lasting change. My approach blends somatic work, Internal Family Systems, attachment-based approaches, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to support that process.
